"How to fall down" è un EP di 6 tracce che anticipa l'uscita dell'album completo "How To Fall Down Below The Surface" (luglio 2022). È un disco profondamente introspettivo ed intenso e a tratti doloroso. Ognuno dei 6 brani rappresenta infatti un passo in un processo meditativo di catarsi che porta alla liberazione del sé. Il "cadere giù sotto la superficie" è infatti metafora del momento in cui la consapevolezza porta a squarciare il velo della realtà illusoria. Ogni brano è contemporaneamente meditazione, preghiera e totale resa al dolore esistenziale. Proprio questa resa si distilla diventando pace e serenità. Un'idée fixe del compositore che cerca nella musica un mezzo di autoguarigione esistenziale ed un modo per condividere con il pubblico le esperienze interiori per lui più profonde. Il dialogo tra il pianoforte ed elettronica è il protagonista di questo lavoro: l'alternarsi delle due componenti, insieme alla voce, mira ad un effetto di straniamento che entra nell'animo per lasciarlo indifeso. L'album completo uscirà a luglio in CD e Vinile pubblicati dall'etichetta Blue Spiral Records e in digitale da Believe Digital.
L'artista
Marcello Liverani è un compositore e performer di Cagliari attivo nel genere Modern Classical ed elettronico. La sua musica si concentra sull'uso del pianoforte come sui sintetizzatori o l'elaborazione elettronica di strumenti acustici e voce. Ha un background e formazione nella musica contemporanea d'avanguardia ed ha studiato con compositori come I. Fedele, A. Corghi e H Dufourt. Dopo il Master in Composizione presso l'"Accademia di S. Cecilia" in Roma, ha ricevuto riconoscimenti e premi per le sue composizioni vocali, ensemble e per orchestra. I suoi brani sono stati eseguiti in occasioni come la "Biennale di Venezia" e presso teatri come il Parco della musica di Roma ed il "Festival de Acanthes" a Metz. Di grande importanza l'incontro 2020 con Believe Digital con cui pubblica in esclusiva in digitale. Nel 2021 pubblica l'album Shapes (distribuito da Blue Spiral Records in CD e Vinile) e l'EP Der Wanderer ottenendo un grande favore di pubblico e critica soprattutto sulla piattaforma di Apple music dove le release vengono regolarmente inserite nelle playlist editoriali raggiungendo più di 1.000.000 di streaming nel 2021 sul web.

"How to fall down" is the new EP by italian composer, producer and interpreter Marcello Liverani. The work, digitally distributed by Believe Digital, is available on all digital streaming platforms.
Description of the work
"How To Fall Down" is a 6-track EP that anticipates the release of the full album "How To Fall Down Below The Surface" (July 2022). It is a deeply introspective, intense and sometimes painful record. Each of the 6 passages represents a step in a meditative process of catharsis that leads to the liberation of the self. The "falling down below the surface" is in fact a metaphor for the moment in which awareness leads to tear the veil of illusory reality. Each piece is meditation, prayer and total surrender to existential pain at the same time. Precisely this surrender is distilled into peace and serenity. An idée fixe of the composer who seeks in music existential self-healing and a way to share the deepest inner experiences for him with the audience. The dialogue between piano and electronics is the main chaacter of this work: alternation of the two components, together with the voice, aims to an estrangement effect that enters the soul to leave it defenseless. The complete album will be released in July on CD and Vinyl released by BlueSpiral Records and digitally distributed by Believe Digital.
The artist
Marcello Liverani is a composer and performer from Sardinia (Italy) with a focus on Modern Classical and electronic genre. His music focuses on piano solo, keyboards and synth, minimal electronics with the use of acoustic instruments and voice. He has a background and training in contemporary avant-garde music and studied with composers such as I. Fedele, A. Corghi and H. Dufourt. After obtaining a Master's degree in Composition at the "Accademia di S. Cecilia" in Rome, he received recognitions and won prizes for his vocal, ensemble and orchestral works, which have been performed in venues and festival such as the Venice Biennale, Parco della musica in Rome and "Festival de Acanthes" in Metz. Since 2020 he has been steadily collaborating with Believe Digital for which he releases under exclusive on streaming platforms. His release Shapes (distributed by Blue Spiral Records on CD and vinyl) and the EP Der Wanderer obtaining a great favor of critics and audience especially on the Apple Music platform where it has been regularly included in editorial playlists reaching more than 1.000.000 of streaming in 2021.
